Business Developer at the Medical Clinic in Ljungby
In Region Kronoberg, we are 6,500 people working for the best of the residents of Kronoberg – every day! We are responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development, and culture in the county. Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and influence their workdays.
The Medical Clinic in Ljungby is the largest clinic in the hospital and consists of about 150 employees in various professional roles. We are a large organization with strong collaboration across the clinic, where the management team cares for the whole and works together for the best of the clinic.
As a business developer, you belong to the clinic's management team, which currently consists of 9 people. You sit physically close to the operations manager, medical manager, and clinic secretary, but work in close cooperation with the entire management team and the organization.
Your closest team consists of the operations manager and medical manager. The collaboration is close, unpretentious, and characterized by good accessibility, which creates conditions for quick dialogues and effective development work.
The culture at the clinic is characterized by community, responsibility, and trust. The management team has jointly undergone leadership development, which has created a clear direction for how we work together and a good understanding of each other's missions and conditions. Here, you will become an important part of the management team and the clinic's continued development.
The position is 75%, with working hours during the day Monday to Thursday (full days) and free on Fridays.
During the summer period (weeks 25–33), during the weeks you do not have vacation, you will work clinically at the clinic as agreed.
Introduction will take place through shadowing with the current business developer and is planned to last at least one month. After that, continued support will be available as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a business developer, you have a central role in supporting the medical clinic's management in areas such as deviation management, patient safety, quality, and business development. You work closely with the operations manager, medical manager, and department managers and act as a process support in both strategic and operational matters.
A significant part of the assignment involves coordinating and keeping together the clinic's deviation management. You have an overall overview of incoming and outgoing deviations, support managers in handling them, and process cases together with the medical manager and other relevant functions. The role also includes receiving PAN cases and complaints via 1177, conducting minor incident and risk analyses, and compiling important deviations and analyses for feedback in the management team and at APT. You are also responsible for information to newly hired doctors regarding deviation management, patient safety, and diagnostic safety.
In the area of patient safety, you support the clinic's patient safety resources and contribute with coordination, compilations, and follow-up. You participate in improvement and development work, quality assurance, and in the preparation of the clinic's patient safety report. You also provide material for interim reports and annual analyses, participate in the hospital's patient safety network, and are responsible for validating the Infection Tool and compiling and reporting results, with a particular focus on healthcare-associated infections.
You support the clinic in regional and national quality measurements, such as BHK, PVK, KAD, and pressure ulcers, and are involved in following up and analyzing the results.
The role also includes driving and coordinating business development at the request of the management team. This means supporting the operations manager and department managers in development work, following up on changes in the organization, and conducting overarching analyses. You regularly participate in inpatient and outpatient care groups and are an active member of the clinic's management team. Additionally, participation in the VIS group and working with substitute lists together with the clinic secretary is included.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a healthcare education who wants to work with development, quality, and patient safety in a larger clinical organization. We see that you are a nurse, doctor, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or biomedical analyst. You have a good understanding of healthcare processes and thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with managers and other key functions.
The position involves overall responsibility for coordinating the deviation process for the entire clinic, which requires both structure and judgment. You need to be able to handle complex and sometimes sensitive cases in a professional and respectful manner and have the ability to build trust in dialogue with different professional roles. The role requires that you can work independently, but also that you are easy to collaborate with and contribute to common solutions.
Personal qualities we see as important for the role:
- Structured: you work goal-oriented according to clear processes, plan your work well, complete what has been started, and meet deadlines.
- Relationship-building: you actively take initiative in social contexts and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships.
- Collaborative: you are unpretentious, adaptable, and contribute to win-win solutions with a focus on the organization's common goals.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
